Golden Care Teak Shield (1 Litre)

Golden Teak Cleaner removes the oil and/or dirt from the wood, making the wood evenly pale-brown. The teak may be subsequently treated with Golden Teak Protector or Shield depending on your color preference. It is important that Golden Teak Protector is never applied directly to oiled teak, because it will result in a very poor finish.

How to use:
Firstly begin my moistening the furniture with water, ensuring that the product is well-shaken before use. You can then apply the product with a cloth or sponge and allow to soak for 3 minutes. Then, scrub with scrubbing pad in the direction of the wood grain. Lastly, rinse the product off with water. Allow the furniture to fully dry; if it feels slightly rough, you can sand it lightly. Once you have taken these steps, you can then proceed with the Teak Protector in the colour of your choice and then the teak shield.

Ensure that the product is well-shaken before use; begin my applying a small amount of product to ensure that it meets your expectations. You can then continue by applying a thin coat with a soft cloth and let dry for 30 minutes. You can apply further layers to suit your preference, allowing a 24 hours drying window in between. 

This easy to apply teak protector maintains the red-brown colour for a longer time:

• Up to 4 times longer than teak-oil
• Up to twice as long as teak sealers.

Why is it so much better than teak-oil / sealer: 
Most teak oils cause wood to turn gray within 4 to 8 weeks, requiring frequent reapplication—up to four times per season. This can be time-consuming.
